Chris Burns owns Spanky’s and repairs vehicles alongside his dad, Gordy, who brought him into the trade. Melissa, Chris’s mom, runs the front office.
When you bring your car in, we look at the damage with you and explain the estimate. You can ask about the work, the parts, and what to expect before deciding on a repair.
Help with the repair and the claim
We work with all major insurance companies. If you’re making a claim, bring the claim number and we’ll discuss the estimate with your adjuster, including additional damage found during the repair.
Our work includes structural measurement, panel repairs, paint and refinishing, and auto glass. We explain the expected timing and keep you updated as the work progresses.

Spanky's Collision Repair is a family-owned auto body shop at 3300 24th Ave, Hudsonville, Michigan 49426, in Ottawa County. Chris Burns and his father Gordon "Gordy" Burns both do the auto body work; Chris's mother Melissa runs the front office. The shop can be reached at (616) 896-8000 or info@spankyscollision.com and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00, with Saturdays by appointment. It provides collision and structural repair, panel and dent repair, automotive paint and refinishing, and auto glass installation, and works with all major insurance companies. Structural damage is measured against factory dimensions using the Shark measuring system; refinishing is done in downdraft spray booths using the Standox paint system, with color matched to the vehicle's factory paint code. Written estimates are free, and rental car availability is offered. The business has over 30 years of combined experience and serves Hudsonville, Jamestown, Jenison, Grandville, Holland and Wyoming, Michigan.
