Spanky's Collision Repair is a family shop on 24th Ave in Hudsonville. Chris Burns owns it. His dad Gordy is the one who got him into the auto body business and taught him everything he knows, and his mom Melissa runs the front office — so the person who answers the phone is family too.
Most people who walk in here have had a bad morning. Somebody hit them, or they hit something, and now there's an insurance company on the phone and a car they can't drive. The repair is the easy part of that. The rest of it — the estimate, the adjuster, the supplements, the not knowing when you get your car back — is the part that makes people miserable, and it's the part we take off you.
